International attention
The exhibition attracted visitors from all over the world. Even though the US is the main destination of flowers, Colombian flowers reach more than 90 destinations across the world. Many visitors took the opportunity to combine the exhibition with farm visits in the morning. The organization took this into account nicely as the show lasted till 7.30 pm.
The exhibitors were very pleased with the quality and number of visitors that they received at the show, but several expected to welcome more this year. The reason is unclear, some thought it may have to do with the pilot strike at Avianca. The number of visitors is still being counted by the organization and will be revealed this week.
Painted flowers
Something that stood out this year was the amount of painted flowers. Over the last few years, the demand for these flowers increased and more and more growers started to paint their flowers.
