‘Coral’ and ‘Fuchsia’

Terra Nova Nurseries' sneak peek of two new Lewisia Constant

Terra Nova Nurseries announced today a sneak peek of two new varieties named Lewisia Constant ‘Coral’ and Lewisia Constant ‘Fuchsia’. These adorable varieties are the latest additions to the Constant collection from Terra Nova Nurseries.

The Constant collection is unlike other lewisia collections because the varieties are constantly blooming and are excellent survivors in average greenhouse and nursery cultivation. They have low fertilizer needs and are easy to grow in gardens or containers given good drainage and full sun. From plug to a 4”-pot, the finish time is between 6-8 weeks. These lewisia are very successful from tissue culture and contain clumping habits.

Lewisia Constant ‘Coral’

Lewisia Constant ‘Coral’ consists of exquisite, coral-pink flowers that bloom continuously from spring to fall. This lewisia contains hardiness zones of 4-8 and thrives in pots and soil, making it ideal for a garden or container. With its beach-themed name and color; foliage height of 4”; foliage spread of 10”; and flower height of 8”; this lewisia would look great in beachside landscapes or anywhere bright color is needed.

Lewisia Constant ‘Fuchsia’

Lewisia Constant ‘Fuchsia’ is a fitting plant for Valentine’s Day. Its stunning, fuchsia-pink flowers would flourish and display beautifully in a container and then rebloom several times during the summer. ‘Fuchsia’ also has hardiness zones of 4-8; a foliage height of 4”; foliage spread of 10”; and flower height of 8”.

Terra Nova Nurseries has created a “Plant Profile” page and “Grower Recipe” specific to this new variety so growers can learn about growing habit, plant characteristics, fertilization recommendations, water requirements, and other insights provided by the breeding team. These documents can be viewed and downloaded for printing at: www.terranovanurseries.com. Growers can contact their Terra Nova Nurseries’ representatives or email the sales team at sales@terranovanurseries.com.
