Russia: A greenhouse for tulip growing will be built near Smolensk
A greenhouse for vegetable and tulip growing will be built in the Smolensk region. 20 new employment positions will be created. November to March the greenhouse will grow tulips and August to December – seedlings and greenery. The planned production capacity is 500 thousand to 3 million pieces a year.
The facility will be launched in stages, the greenhouse complex construction will comprise several blocks of tunnel greenhouses and an administrative building with a floral cooler and a loading bay. A greenhouse block acreage will be around 2000 m2.
The greenhouses will be of Russian production. The roof and side walls will be covered with the Greek two-layer poly anti-drop coating. Such material will allow for the decrease of temperature loss by 30%.
The land plot of 6 ha owned by the investor is being prepared for the construction.
It is planned to install two greenhouses for the growth of 300400 tulips by the end of the current year as well as the administrative building with the storage and floral cooler. The investment project will be completed in 2022.
