Cargolite demontrates workings new packaging concept

It took them about 2.5 years to get things going, but now all hurdles have finally been taken. That is, minus some logistical limitations at the airport in Nairobi, the new Cargolite packaging concept is operational. Yesterday morning, the first boxes sent by Mavuno arrived in the Coloríginz box in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands.

Considering it was 8 am, right in the middle of a busy week full of business fairs, the turnout was considerable

Commercial director at Coloríginz Erik van Duijn welcomed a group of tradesmen, people from Mavuno and Oserian and a handful of people of Cargolite, for a live demonstration of the unpacking of this first pallet. It is all very simple, Johan Kowarsky explains, but a few large importing companies still need to be convinced. “Hence we wanted to organize a demonstration, and we thank Coloríginz for this opportunity.”

This new, ‘game changing’ packing solution claims to have four major advantages as opposed to traditional packing. It removes the load from the carton walls, reduces the carton weight, increases the pack rate and improve the stackability. A fifth, resulting effect is plainly cutting costs on transport. How it works in detail can be read here.
