Australia: Hydroponic Farmers Federation met at Brinkman's Braeside offices

Hydroponic Farmers Federation recently held their official AGM/Grower Day at the Brinkman Australia Braeside offices. As with HFF policy - scheduled meetings are to be conducted at different interesting locations chosen for growers to provide opportunities of networking with growers, suppliers and industry partners.

The well-attended meeting included growers, suppliers, industry partners, and, of course, the HFF team. Special Guest Gijs Baake (Royal Brinkman's International Commercial Manager) provided a brief history of Royal Brinkman and told about how Brinkman is proud of the HFF association in Australia. He went on to inform attendees of the latest global trends and developments and what they mean for the local Australian market.

This was followed by presentations from the Brinkman Team outlining the various products and services offered by Brinkman Australia. David Francis discussed growing media options, crop support products, and shade coatings. Dane Kirkup spoke about technical labor-saving solutions such as Berg Hortimotive (pipe rail trolleys), Van der Waay (roof washers), DryGair (dehumidification units), Moleaer (oxygen enrichment units), and Weterings (crop shedders), among others. Lachlan Pettigrew presented on spare parts and how Brinkman Australia can assist growers with all their various growing inputs, products, and services.

The HFF team then conducted their annual general meeting, lunch was then served, followed by a tour of the Brinkman warehouse. To complete the day the group visited local flower farm, Piovillioco Flowers in Pearcedale where Managing Director Rob Piovillico gave a tour of the facility and presented to the group on growing methods applied to his crops such as roses, gerbera`s and green foliage.

Brinkman Australia managing director David Sobevski said: "What a fantastic day full of learning, networking, and idea sharing for all attendees. We wish to thank the HFF for selecting Brinkman Australia as the host supplier partner and thank Rob Piovillico for welcoming our attendees and showcasing his operation – growers helping growers!"
