UK: Rose trials are blooming marvellous

Rose growers from across Europe picked up the top awards at the International Rose Trials at Tollcross Park.

Judge Jim Hunter cut a dashing figure as he made a last minute check on the best of the blooms.

The top award The Lord Provost's Cup when to Meilland International from France, the Gold Medal to Poulsen Roser from Denmark and the People's Choice to W. Kordes & Sohne from Germany.

More than 100 judges from across the world are heading to Tollcross Park for this year’s International Rose Trials finale.
