This is an even higher amount than was achieved in 2014. It was the fourteenth time that the floriculture sector participated in the fundraising effort of the Pre Ride for the Roses.
Research into skin cancer
The total proceeds of the Ride for the Roses Aalsmeer came to €854,000. This sum will be devoted to research into skin cancer, via KWF Kankerbestrijding (the Dutch Cancer Society). On behalf of the Pre Riders Floriculture, a heartfelt thanks to the sponsors for their contribution to this ride.
Ride for the Roses in 2016
The 19th edition of the special cycling event, the Ride for the Roses will take place on Sunday 4 September 2016. The location is still a surprise, to be announced soon. It's possible to register from October 15th at www.ridefortheroses.nl
