UK: A record breaking year for the New Plant Awards

The National Plant Show 2016 has seen a record breaking amount of New Plant Awards entries, with over 110 entries so far and counting.

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) are currently working with Joy of Plants to validate all of the entries which will then go on to be judged on the day before the event. The panel of judges includes Marcus Cousins (Aylett Nurseries), David Mitchell (Wyevale Garden Centre), David Hurrian (Gardeners World Magazine), Michael Perry (Thompson & Morgan) and Jim Gardiner (RHS).

In addition to the formal announcement in the New Plant Awards area on the opening morning of the show, there will also be a seminar session focusing on the winners where Andy McIndoe, along with the judging panel, will highlight the victorious plants.

The HTA National Plant Show takes place on 21 and 22 June at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.
