The new site was finished by the end of August, and moving in went on throughout September, allowing Solutions to move in first, followed by Road (moving from two former locations) and then finally Air & Sea. A total of 300 employees are now working here.
The new facility consists of:
- 3,000 m2 office building (Air & Sea and Road)
- 7,000 m2/71 ramp cross-docking terminal (Road)
- 13,000 m2 warehouse (Solutions)
In Petr Chocholaty, MD, DSV Road CZ’s words: “The main reason we decided to move to this location was that it was close to our former locations in Dobroviz and Prague-Ruzyně and that we wanted to build a cross-docking terminal and warehouse in to suit our specific needs as well as ensuring space for future expansion”.
The official inauguration was attended by approximately 100 guests, among them country and council officials, representatives from the construction company, customers and of course a number of DSV VIPs, including CEO Jens Bjørn Andersen.
Before the ribbon-cutting ceremony, speeches were given by CEO Jens Bjørn Andersen, Christian Hoppe (Danish Ambassador in the Czech Republic) and Pavel Sovička (MD, Panattoni CZ and SK). Following this, the audience could enjoy a time-lapse video of the building project as well as informal mingling.
