Ecuador: An unforgettable Children's Day

In honor of Children's Day, celebrated in Ecuador on June 1st, FleuraMetz invited 32 children from the Family Homes of Foundation Cristo de la Calle in the city of Ibarra to spend an unforgettable day in Ecuador's capital city of Quito. The icing on the cake was a 24,000 USD cheque that was presented to the foundation at the end of the day.

All kids were warmly welcomed in the morning with a huge picnic breakfast at the Metropolitan Park, after which several fun fair games such as sack-race and 3 legged race were held. In the afternoon the program continued with a visit to the 'Vulqano Park' theme park. Three hours of fun with plenty of animation, a puppet showcase, bumper cars, carousel and roller coaster rides made many smiles on the little faces of all those lovely kids.

To finalize the day, FleuraMetz had one more surprise for Cristo de la Calle: a USD 24,000 cheque, thanks to all donations received from florists, FleuraMetz board of directors and employees. At the end of the day, everyone returned back to their Family Homes, remembering a never to be forgotten day.
