The green indoor plant growers had nothing to complaint about. The demand for green plants is high and several succulent and cactus growers cannot even meet the demand. The orchid growers, however, seem to be more concerned. The demand and prices in the run-up for holidays are OK as the demand is OK. But if the demand decreases, the prices drop fast. Then, particularly the white, one and two-stemmed varieties are heaving difficulties.
Workshops and demonstrations.
At the Seasonal Trade Fair, 200 growers presented their products, novelties and ideas. The majority of the growers are Dutch, but growers from Denmark, Italy, Belgium and Spain found their way for the auction as well, below some of these growers:
John Ejlskov of Feldbor. They put their products on the market under the name easycare. As it is in the name, the plants that are chosen for this concept are easy to care for. The majority of the plants are imported from Thailand and shipped to Denmark by container.
De Guchtenaere of nursery A-Zalea from Belgium.
Antoine Hoogenboom of the German hellebore and phalaenopsis breeder Bock Bio Science was also presenting their orchids.
Nino Centrone, Nadia Somine and Paolo Ciccolella of Eurose came all the way from Italy to show their plants. On the left, their cacti.
