Here it is, the photo report of the FlowerTrials 2018. The 32 locations where 60 breeders were showcasing their varieties, closed their doors last Friday, June 15. The organization has not published the numbers yet, but several companies expect to have welcomed more visitors than previous years.

In general we noticed two trends. One of them, as we already described in an article last Friday, was 'Easy'. A crop needs to be easy to grow, easy to ship, easy to sell and/or easy to care for. Another trend is that the selling seasons are becoming more diffuse. End consumers are not only buying plants in spring anymore, but in summer as well. This means an extension of the season for many growers.
