The above AHDB publication was fully revised in 2013 by John Atwood, ADAS, and although much of the guide is still current (such as the weed biology, weed profile and principles of weed control sections) the products listed in the herbicide sections do change with regular frequency. To address this, a new 2018 update for the practical weed control for nursery stock has been prepared by John Atwood and is enclosed. It has been designed to reflect the original publication and each product description is laid out as per the 2013 guide to retain consistency. All the herbicide product changes since 2013 are summarised below, and information on the new/amended products is contained within the update.
The guide lists an update on products which are authorised/safe for use over the crop, although in some cases only safe when applied to dormant crops or as a directed spray.
