Western Australian wax season starts

A key focus in Helix Australia's breeding and selection process is targeting early flowering Waxflower varieties. For Australian and South African production this means targeting May and June flowering, Israel October/November flowering and USA late November/December flowering.

The week commencing 9 June saw a very strong harvest in Waxflower Morning Delight from the Wafex farm at Regansford, Western Australia. Demand was very strong across all export and domestic markets and increased plantings of this Kings Park variety will come on line in the coming years.

Waxflower Ruby’s Delight has also commenced from Western Australia.
