These export activities are combined with Van Dam’s import of cut flowers from Spain, Italy, Ecuador and other countries, facilitated via the company’s extensive network.
Van Dam was looking for a committed partner to realise further growth of its customer portfolio and expansion of its services. Having found this partner in Dutch Flower Group, Van Dam import and export activities will be performed under the DFG banner from 1 January 2020.
Van Dam directors Leon van Dam and Richard Koenen said: “Joining Dutch Flower Group is a wonderful step forward for our team. We get a committed partner on board who we will be able to work with, using their strength and worldwide network, to further build our customer relationships.”
Van Dam will continue to promote itself in the market under its existing name.
With this expansion, Dutch Flower Group envisions further strengthening of its market position in European wholesale.
Van Dam & Zn. B.V. (Van Dam) is a trading company specialised in fresh cut flowers, primarily active in supplying wholesalers in Western Europe. Van Dam has 80 employees and anticipates a 2019 turnover of more than €35 million. For further information see: www.pvandambv.nl
