Three major Dutch Lily Producers Investigate merger

Dutch lily producers Paauw Lilies, Imanse Quality Lilies and Dutch Lilies signed a letter of intent to intensify their cooperation. They believe further cooperation will enable them to better satisfy customers’ needs, thanks to a wider product assortment and a higher service level. The letter of intent is the next step towards a possible merger. The go-ahead is expected to be announced this summer.

Wim-Jan Paauw, André Imanse and Klaas Wagenaar signing their letter of intent

All three companies specialize in producing high quality lilies. ‘We're a great match. Our staff are compatible and our assortment complementary. We also have a nice geographical spread, with Paauw in Rijnsburg, Imanse in Lisserbroek and Dutch Lilies in Almere, all within short distance of the main flower auctions. On the sales side, our customers are growing. Scaling up our business is a logical step for us,’ says Wim-Jan Paauw. André Imanse affirms the merger is strength-based. ‘Our companies are all strong and healthy. By joining forces, we will be able to provide better customer service and achieve even greater production volumes at the flower farms.’ Klaas Wagenaar from Dutch Lilies is equally optimistic. ‘We still have quite a lot of homework to do, but we should be able to share more news with you by this summer.’
