Flower Circus Talks with Joost Vianen

In a new YouTube episode of Flower Circus, John Elsgeest talks with Joost about how he started CJ Vianen direct after school in September 2000 by exporting flowers to the United Kingdom. From a rental ‘box’ at Flora Holland Rijnsburg, he purchased flowers which he then transported personally in a lorry to his British customers.

The demand increased rapidly. The total of trips to England doubled and larger premises was required. The growth continued and the company C.J. Vianen moved several times to larger properties. Meanwhile the workforce had grown, together with the truck fleet. The warehouse was expanded alongside, resulting in a good location with its own docks and a conditioned area for storage and processing of the purchased products.

They also discuss the challenges the face at the moment (Brexit) and how they anticipate, and which potential problems he sees (plants!) Still a lot is unknow, what makes it difficult as well to react in time.

Furthermore he also tells about their webshop, and what their vision is for the future.
