Keepsake Plants Florida hires new Managing Director

Aris Horticulture announces the promotion of Jeremy McGurk to Managing Director of Keepsake Plants Florida. Jeremy replaces Gary Knipe, who retired after 40+ years. Says Scott Schaefer, Aris President & CEO, “We thank Gary for a great career including his service and leadership of the division since 2008 and look forward to Jeremy’s contributions for the future with a focus on supporting and developing a strong management team, delivering quality and service for our customers”.

Gary Knipe

Gary led the business through many years of change and growth as well as several hurricane recoveries. During that time Gary and Jeremy worked closely together. Schaefer added “this change builds on the existing structure and provides for continuity. Per Tim Gartrell, Director of Sales, “Jeremy’s knowledge, can-do attitude, and responsiveness help to ensure customer satisfaction even when there are problems”.

Jeremy McGurk

Jeremy has 15+ years of progressive experience with Aris and Keepsake Plants, ranging from sales support, information management, production services, and operations director. Jeremy’s service at Aris began in early 2003 as a temporary employee in Barberton, Ohio in Customer Service, becoming full-time later that year as Product Support Manager/Team Leader including business process development and SAP. He relocated from Akron, Ohio to Ft. Myers, Florida in 2012 to assume his new responsibilities at the Keepsake Plants Florida farm. Jeremy has an Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems and a B.S.M. Degree in e-Business Technologies from Akron University. He has completed post-graduate work toward an MBA in Finance at Kent State University.
