The family company Selecta one in Stuttgart, the world's leading breeder, producer, and marketer of vegetatively propagated ornamental plants, is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Helleborus breeding activities of the tissue culture specialist Bock Bio Science, Bremen, as of 01.06.2021.
The breeding program consists of a rich genetic collection of niger, orientalis, and interspecific Helleborus types. The product group is a welcome addition to the current Selecta one portfolio and opens new opportunities in other market segments, especially in high-quality perennials.

It is also a perfect addition to our current range, as many of our customers already have Helleborus in their portfolio”.

In addition to the breeding program, Selecta one will also take over and process the orders for the coming season. The in vitro production remains in the Bock Bio Science laboratory, which ensures high product quality. In the meantime, both Bock Bio Science and Selecta one will work closely together to ensure a smooth transition and deliver excellent quality material.
