The Joseph Shinoda Memorial Scholarship Foundation (The Shinoda Foundation) has retained The Association Resource Center (ARC), one of California’s premier association management companies, as its first-ever management partner, providing full-service management to help the foundation grow and flourish.
The purpose of The Shinoda Foundation is to provide scholarship assistance to deserving students who have chosen to prepare for careers in the floriculture industry. Founded in 1965, the foundation has since given over $750,000 in scholarships to college students and is named in the posthumous memory of Joseph Shinoda, a pioneer in the floral industry.
“College and University students from throughout the United States have benefited for decades from the generosity of The Shinoda Foundation,” said Bob Otsuka, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the foundation. “Looking to the future of the foundation, we see an opportunity for growth and the potential for expanding support to horticulture students and this requires highly professional and experienced management. ARC provides us with that, and we look forward to working together for great success.”
The Association Resource Center serves over 25 association and foundation partners and has a staff of 25 professionals providing comprehensive expertise to manage associations for long-term success. Founded in 1980, ARC has a track record of success and accomplishments, including numerous company and team member recognition awards of excellence and service.
“ARC is excited to be expanding our family of client partners with The Shinoda Foundation coming on board,” said Camron King, ARC President. “An organization with such a long and rich history as the foundation, which has the benevolent purpose of supporting students, aligns beautifully with our company ethos and we look forward to growing together.”
