The management of the greenhouse complex Novosibirsky is planning to allocate all 17 ha of the production facilities to a rosary. This will allow increase the annual flower production from the initial 7 million to 37 million cuts by 2025, reported the co-founder of the group of companies Gorkunov, Mr. Boris Gorkunov.
“We are planning to convert the whole greenhouse complex Novosibirsky into a flower growing facility; thus, we are planning to produce 37 million roses instead of 7 million. We are making big steps in order to provide not only Novosibirsk region but also the whole Siberian Federal District with the amount of flowers and the assortment that is in most demand here", mentioned Mr. Gorkunov.
According to Mr. Gorkunov, the acreage that is planned to be allocated for flower growing is now occupied with vegetables. However, the vegetable production will not be stopped. Tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce will be grown in Obsky greenhouse close to Novosibirsk. In addition, the reconstructed greenhouse complex in Barnaul, Altai region, is working to meet the demand in vegetables.
In 2020, on the basis of the greenhouse complex Novosibirsy the first rosary in Siberia was launched. The company announced that once the production capacity is reached, not less than 10 thousand flowers will be cut a day.
It was announced earlier that the second phase of the first Siberian rosary has been launched. The second phase would allow increase the existing production capacity and cut 60 thousand flowers a day, reported the director on company development, Mr. Vasiliy Pronkin.
