For the first time also Suntory living plants

Suntory's blooms shine at Grammy Awards

On April 3, the 64th Annual Grammy Awards took place and Suntory Flowers delivered blooms to the red carpet once again with Tu Bloom of Bloom Designs, Inc. the official botanical artist for the Grammys. And for the first time, they supplied living plants in addition to their fresh cut flowers.

Suntory Flowers partners with Tu for many projects and for the Grammys, the company supplied 3.000 cut flower stems, including Blue Rose Applause and mini Moon carnations. The flowers were grown by Suntory’s Florigene Flowers division in South America and the plants by Armstrong Growers in California

The main red carpet arrangements featured Suntory's argyranthemums, Madeira Deep Pink and Grandaisy Dark Pink, in the base. These were alternated throughout the red carpet. Additional floral arrangements featured Applause roses and Moon carnations throughout the event.

"One thing that is interesting is during the show", says Suntory's Delilah, who was attending the event, "there are many commercial breaks, for 3-6 minutes. Each time they start the show again, they tell the audience, Applause! So that on TV, people hear the applause when it resumes. So our rose is the perfect fit for the Grammys!"
