Plantipp and Concept Plants scoop prizes

Kelly-Anne Geranium and Cutie Pie Rosa scooped prices. Kelly-Anne won Best in category – Herbaceous Perennials (gold) at the National Plant Show and Cutie Pie Rosa won Best in category (gold) for Shrubs.

Last but not least, Sweetheart Daphne was formally introduced at the National Plant show by Walberton Nursery.

Flower Trials debut
After two years, Plantipp and Concept Plants were thrilled to be back live and in person for Flower Trials 22.  They introduced to the world 15 new novelties, including three new series.  You can find details of new introductions here. And here is just a peek at the new plants, people and grower partners from that event.

Kim and Reinier van Rijssen visit with Korean breeders and discuss the award-winning Cutie Pie Rose. Available in South Korea at Daelim Nursery.

It wasn’t just Flower Trials visitors who were drawn to the Butterfly Candy series of Buddleia.

Here comes the sun
Bring brightness to the landscape with Sunrise Festuca from breeder Krzysztof Słowiński of Gospodarstwo Ogrodnicze Szkółka Słowińscy who is shown above. The dark green leaves turn copper-orange at the top in late autumn and winter, while in summer, the flowers and flower stems have an attractive, bright orange-red color. What a striking contrast these orange-red hues bring to the gardenscape.
