Registration is open for Cornell’s annual Floriculture Field Day

Registration is open for Cornell’s annual Floriculture Field Day to be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

Enjoy seminars led by industry leaders in the morning

Topics include:

  • Indoor plants
  • Weed control
  • Updates from NYS Ag and Market
  • Lessons from a family-run organic seed farm

Then participate in garden tours in the heart of the Cornell Botanic Gardens, where the annual flower and foliage trials will be featured as well as educational stations

The annual beds will feature cultivars from Ameriseed, American Takii, Ball FloraPlant, Ball Ingenuity, Beekenkamp, PanAmerican Seed, Proven Winners, and Selecta.

  • Morning program will feature speakers at Stocking Hall.  Featured speaker: Cornell alum, eco-model, activist, author (How to Make a Plant Love You), and entrepreneur Summer Rayne Oakes. (In person event. Currently, the university is not planning to offer attendance via Zoom.)
  • Afternoon program at Cornell Botanic Gardens with garden tours, annual flower and foliage trials and education stations.

DEC credits: The program has been approved for 3.0 NYS DEC Pesticide Recertification Credits. (Categories are 3 credits in categories: 10, 1a, 24, 25, and 3a; and 1 credit in category 9). Attendees must sign-in and attend the complete morning and afternoon program to receive credits (i.e. no partial credits are granted for attending individual sessions).

Cost: $80, $60 each for additional employees or family members.
