The Environmental Protection Authority has formally acknowledged NZPPI application for 11 houseplant species under HSNO's Full Release pathway.
They started processing the application on 10 August 2022, and it will be formally notified to the public for submissions on 24 August, with the submission period closing on 5 October 2022.
The EPA Staff Assessment Report will be released in early November and a Public Hearing, should one be needed, is likely to be held in the week commencing 14 November 2022.
It is expected that a final decision will be available in January 2023.
NZPPI will send out a further notification when the application is out for public consultation and encourage their members to provide submissions in support.
