Anthuriums are having a fashionable moment thanks to the visionary work of Loewe’s creative director Jonathan Anderson.
It is no secret that fashion designers have affection for certain flowers that became brand symbols and inspirations. With Chanel, it was the camellia, Dolce & Gabanna the rose, and Christian Dior, it was the lily of the valley which he wore in his buttonhole or were sewn into the hems of his haute couture designs.
Now it’s British sensation Jonathan Anderson’s turn with the anthurium which is prominently displayed in his spring 2023 designs for the LMVH design company which has been known for its quality leather goods.
In fact, Zendaya just wore this innovative Loewe dress with its ginormous white anthurium bodice and it popped in popularity. Over 4.9 million people applauded the design.
