In recent months, PackControl has worked hard, in cooperation with Sjaak van Schie B.V., to develop the new packaging registration system. This software has been in use at Sjaak van Schie since the end of September.

Using PackControl has many advantages. Marcel Vreugdenhil, Logistics Planner at Sjaak van Schie B.V., explains: "The main reason we use this system is to save time regarding the registration of incoming and outgoing container flows. These are mainly Danish containers, or CCs, and the associated plates. In addition, this system contributes to increasing the reliability of registrations of these container flows. PackControl synchronizes data from external systems of Royal Flora Holland, for instance, and internal systems. We can also record agreements made with customers in this system. All this together ensures a more efficient way of working."
PackControl development
The startup PackControl was developed by people with a background in IT and logistics. With their own experience of the challenges involved in registering the packaging, developing a complete packaging management solution was a logical step. "In recent months, we have been working with customers like Sjaak van Schie to optimize our system," says Geert Kuiper, co-founder of PackControl. "We have had a lot of feedback and processed it step by step. We are happy that we were able to help Sjaak van Schie implement PackControl. Our software is widely applicable, not only at companies in greenhouse horticulture but anywhere where reusable load carriers circulate."
