Coinciding with the Pearl Anniversary of the National Chamber of Exporters Sri Lanka, the annual export award ceremony, in recognizing the excellence in performance by Sri Lankan exporters in the international market, was held at Shangrilla Hotel Colombo on December 2nd, 2022, amidst a distinguished gathering of top businessmen, organizations, diplomatic missions, senior government, and private sector officials plus other invitees and guests.
Mike Biotech Asia, the tissue culture Lab under Mike Group of companies, was adjudged a winner of a “GOLD” award under the floriculture medium-range business sector.
It is for the 3rd time that Mike Biotech Asia was successful in bagging a Gold Award, thereby further establishing their professionalism and commitment towards the industry.
Mike Biotech Asia is a tissue culture lab in Sri Lanka, and the modern laboratory is managed by highly skilled professional staff that ensure quality and timely deliveries to its global clientele.
The lab is more inclined and open towards contract propagation, and it is equipped with an installed capacity to produce 6 million plants across 72 varieties. Recently it opened their new lab expansion, which is composed of two transfer rooms and two growth rooms. The transfer rooms can hold up to 16 double lamina flow cabinets, where 32 operators are able to handle plants. Two growth rooms can hold up to 100,000 vessels at a time. The expansion has given us the opportunity and facility to increase its capacity to serve any customer requirement.
