Flower wholesale market in Düsseldorf gets new home

The Blumengroßmarkt (BGM) Düsseldorf will move into a new hall on the grounds of the wholesale market. On 25 November, it signed a long lease for a 16,160-square-metre plot of land located in the same business park.

An existing hall is being taken over, modified, and expanded with new buildings. A hall of about 7,500 square meters is planned. In addition, the outdoor area will be further developed for occurring logistics operations and parking spaces.

The investment involves "several million," partly from EU grants. Construction will start early next year and is expected to take nine months. It is hoped the move will be made by early 2024.

Currently, more than 40 growers and wholesalers offer their products at the Düsseldorf flower wholesale market.
