Special Year Overview 2022: Photo reports

After a year of nearly no exhibitions, 2022 has been the first year where almost all of the planned exhibitions could continue. Below is an overview of the photo reports we published, both the exhibitions we visited and the exhibitions of which we received pictures. Enjoy! And eager to know what exhibitions will be held next year, check out the exhibitions listed in our calendar!

February - Photo report Myplant & Garden 2022

June - Optimism prevails at sunny edition FlowerTrials

The exact number of visitors has not been counted yet, but the first in-person FlowerTrials after the pandemic-caused hiatus was very busy indeed. Visitors from all over the world (minus Russia and some east-Asian countries) made their rounds to see what's blooming at the 60+ breeders organizing trials, often combining their trip with a visit to the international horticulture fair GreenTech in Amsterdam.

July - Photo report Cultivate'22

Although some exhibitors had the feeling the 2022 Cultivate show was slightly slower than in pre-pandemic years, the event remains one of the best to meet up with suppliers active in the North American market. The show attracted more than 650 exhibitors and thousands of international guests.

August - Photo report: Plantarium|Groen-Direkt

As promised, we will share today the photo report of Plantarium|Groen-Direkt. On the second day, there also was enough to see, and there was no lack of novelties, even now that the market is struggling.

September - Photo report Salon du Végétal

The three-day tradeshow Salon du Végétal has come to an end. Many different parties participated: landscapers, gardeners, local authorities, industry partners, and equipment suppliers. Of the over 250 exhibitors, 85% were French, and 15% came from abroad. 40% of the exhibitors came from the plant production sector, whilst 36% were suppliers of equipment for the sale and presentation of plants.

October - Photo report IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show

On October 28 and 29, the International Fresh Produce Association held its Global Produce & Floral Show (GPFS) in Orlando, Florida. For the first time since 2019, the organization was able to hold an in-person event. This, combined with the fact that it was the first show since PMA and United Fresh merged last year, resulted in high expectations from industry members. Whether this would be the biggest and best event ever is what everyone was wondering upfront. Although official numbers are not available yet, it may not have been the biggest show ever, but statistics don't say it all. The success of an event is determined by many more factors. Also, this year, the "Floral Marketplace," that has been introduced several editions ago, is getting a more and more established spot at the show, and this year, our FloralDaily.com team was again present to make a photo report of that show.

November - Photo report: IFTF 2022

The 12th edition of the International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTF) is a wrap. Like other years, visitors from all over the world attended the show enabling the international flower grower, the core of the exhibition, to meet new buyers. The organization, HPP Exhibitions, is pleased with this year's show and is looking forward to growing even further in 2023. FloralDaily was also present to make a photo report of the show.

Thank you for sending in pictures!
We were not able to attend all exhibitions that took place last year, but fortunately, we received a lot of pictures so that we could give our readers an impression of the shows. See them below.

April - Photo Report: California Spring Trials 2022

September - Impression Naivasha Horticultural Fair

On September 16 and 17, the Naivasha Horticultural Fair took place in Naivasha, where they hosted a record number of stands, namely 180. This charitable event is in its 20th year and attracts an audience from across the continent and Europe. The event showcases products and services from stakeholders in the horticultural industry, such as the flower industry primarily but also car manufacturers, accessories, financial institutions, etc.

September - Photo impression FlowersExpo Moscow 2022

On September 13-15, the twelfth International Exhibition, FlowersExpo 2022, took place in Moscow at the Crocus Expo IEC. "It was demonstrating unprecedented interest and hopes of the professional community this year," the organization says.

October - Positive vibes at Expo Flor Ecuador

The Ecuadorian floral industry is blooming, and that was reflected in the interest for the Expo Flor Ecuador that took place last week. Not only the show floor was fully booked, the number of visitors was high as well, several exhibitors informed us. Last week, we shared a social media photo impression, and we received more pictures and information about the Expo and the sector. See below.
