Greenhouse Solar Panels: Grant Award: $8,000
Ray will be adding solar panels to one of his three active greenhouses. The goal of this project is to aid in the growth and sustainability of their small family farm by reducing energy costs, therefore allowing them to put more financial resources into expanding agricultural production to meet demand and grow the business.
The grant will pay for about half of the cost of purchasing and installing the panels on one of his largest operating greenhouses. In addition to retail and wholesale customers, Ray’s Florist & Greenhouse also hosts highly attended wreath design classes/workshops.
