Spring plays a very important role in the flowering plants' sector, and hydrangeas are one of the plants that are planted for this season. However, what variety should you choose?  

The choice of variety is even more important under the current difficult conditions, which pose great challenges for horticulture in general and cultivators in particular.

According to Brandkamp, their NHS hydrangea range provides the grower with a range of varieties that meet the challenges.

Little Blue

"With varieties such as NHS Little Blue and NHS Little Blue Pink, the range includes a blue and pink variety, which have an extremely short forcing time and are therefore ready for sale in a very short time."

Another advantage of the NHS varieties, they add, is their tolerance to temperature fluctuations. "The NHS varieties can be lowered without loss of quality and with only a slight extension of the cultivation time at low outside temperatures and later cultivated again in the usual temperature range." 

Another benefit of the NHS varieties is a long flower color that changes color over the course of the flowering period. "It guarantees the consumer a long enjoyment for weeks. A prime example of this is the NHS Blue Power variety, which turns from a very strong blue through various shades to a reddish bloom. Due to this property, the NHS hydrangea varieties are also ideal for the outdoor area and delight garden lovers with their blossoms."

As novelties for the coming season, they present the NHS New Blue variety. "It has a great, strong blue and the NHS New Blue Pink variety in an attractive salmon pink."
