Celebrating Eurovision coming to Liverpool

To celebrate Eurovision, Booker Flowers, and Gifts are collaborating with several Liverpool venues to provide Ukrainian Flower Crown Workshops, also known as a Vinok. Running from 26th April until 11th May – attendees will make their own Eurovision Flower crown combined with a delicious meal from one of the following prestigious Liverpool Venues.

Hilton Hotel, Pullman Hotel, Love Lane Brewery, Hotel Indigo, and Clippers Barbers & Coffee Co
A portion of each ticket sold will go to the people affected by the war in Ukraine.

Owner Gemma Wakerley on why they have decided to run these workshops.

"As a team at Booker Flowers and Gifts, we want to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime event of Eurovision coming to Liverpool while not forgetting why it is here and to raise money for those affected by the war in Ukraine."

"We felt it would be good to combine these workshops by working collaboratively with several Liverpool venues to form packages of activities, meals, and drinks. So, visitors to the city can also experience some of Liverpool's world-renowned hospitality".

"As we want the crowns to be made from sustainable materials while also lasting for the Eurovision final, they are going to be made from dried flowers in Eurovision's colors. This means they will also make a lovely keepsake to remember the event by".

The Vinok is a traditional Ukrainian Flower Wreath that was historically worn as a headdress by young women who were eligible for marriage. This tradition dates to pre-Christian times, and it was believed that the headdress would protect young women from evil spirits.

As Eurovision is coming to Liverpool in place of Ukraine, it is an opportunity to attend a Flower Crown Eurovision-themed activity, enjoy some of Liverpool's finest hospitality, and also support Ukraine at the same time.

Perfect for a Eurovision night out, team building, or a brilliant way to de-stress after a busy day at work.
