UK: Defra launches IPAFFS - enhanced import system for plants

The IT system used to facilitate pre-notification of imports of plants and plant products in Great Britain is now ready to complete its move from the current PEACH system to a new system called the 'Import of Products, Animals, Food and Feed System' (IPAFFS).

Slightly later than initially planned, the transition from PEACH to IPAFFS was paused by Defra to develop further functionality to improve the service. This functionality includes CSV File Upload and search functionality for Genus and Species to support the creation of a pre-notification for submitting notifications. Further functionality is due to follow in the coming months.

To support the transition from PEACH to IPAFFS, Defra will be holding free, weekly, 1-hour training sessions. Interested stakeholders can register for a time that suits them via the link below.
