ScaleNL is a Dutch innovation platform - supported by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency - that is building bridges between the Netherlands and the US. It recently invited ten promising Dutch AgriFood startups to join a trade mission to the US. PEAX Data is one of them. "A great opportunity, if you ask us. We'll definitely share our experiences on our LinkedIn page so everyone can follow along," says Roy van Beest.
The data specialists have a clear mission. "Will the US market suit us? That's the question." PEAX is developing a platform with AI tools for the agri-food sector. "For our AI software, national borders aren't an obstacle. There are plenty of opportunities in America. With this trade mission, we want to determine how those opportunities relate to the challenges. We certainly understand that doing business on the other side of the world is no small thing. This is the perfect chance to explore that," Roy explains.

At the same time, Roy and Guus van Heijningen find it a "great honor" to be invited on the mission. It will be a four-week version of the ten-week ScaleNL Accelerator program. "It's going to be hectic, with many interesting trade shows, company visits, and meetings."
"The program has already kicked off. It started at Microsoft, where we received pitch training and marketing tips and learned about legal pitfalls. In America, we'll go to things like the IFT fair, Cultivate, and several Agritech companies. We're pitching at networking events, will dine at the consulate, and will finish at the Chicago Cubs," Roy concludes.
