UK: 'Eliza' returns to Covent Garden for research

On Wednesday, the Flower Market hosted the West End actress Patsy Ferran who plays Eliza Doolittle in the Old Vic production of Pygmalion.

The old Covent Garden was of course, where Eliza plied her trade and also met Professor Higgins, who attempts to turn her into a fair lady. Patsy has visited Covent Gardens, old and new, to research the role of Eliza and understand a little more about being a flower seller on the Market.

The visit was filmed, and an interview with Patsy will be featured in Tatler magazine when the play opens in September. A photographer from The Telegraph newspaper also turned up to photograph the visit.

The play runs from 6 September to 28 October 2023 at the Old Vic Theatre. Pygmalion | Old Vic Theatre
