US (NB): High school gets $25,000 donation for greenhouse

Four years ago, Gering High School launched its ag pathway, and today, they announced the program is expanding. During a news conference Friday, Platte Valley Companies presented a $25,000 check as the lead gift for the ‘Growing Gering Ag Greenhouse’ Campaign.

This will be a four-season greenhouse to complement the GHS Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources Career Pathway. Gering FFA Chapter President Trace Leetch thanked PVC for donating to keep this program growing.

“As we roll into our fourth year of the agriculture pathway and FFA at Gering High School, it is not lost on us as students the amount of time, effort, and fundraising that has been poured into this pathway and ensuring our future success,” remarked Leetch. “Please note it is seen, valued, and appreciated.”

PVC President and CEO Hod Kosman says he’s happy to donate to keep this pathway growing.
