A new red in Halios® range: Red Satisfaction® - “Intense red and sustainable color”
The novelty in the Halios series bears the name of Satisfaction. “It shows off an intense red color with a distinguished white border and is characterized by its long-lasting flowers. The plant has a robust structure and is excellent for late bloomers. Pots of 15 – 22 cm are applied. With 12 different red varieties in our large flower assortment, we can help to produce a plant for every climate and flower timing across the world.”

It is interesting to know that Morel red cyclamens have undergone continual improvement for close to a century. “Their excellence is widely acknowledged on account of their intense, long-lasting, stable color and the resistance of the varieties in different climates. Amongst these possibilities, some are heat tolerant and adaptable to the early season, and others are advised for the mid-late season and capable of being grown in low condition of temperatures.” Considering the grower climate area and its technical facilities, Morel has many solutions in Red.

Halios® HD Lavender – “A new and trendy lavender color”
Another novelty is HD Lavender (Halios HD). “It has large, elegant flowers and superior flower power in hot climates such as those of southern Europe. It shows a striking contrast between its dark green foliage and its lavender color of petals.” HD means high density to optimize cultivation surfaces. “ HD series is a large flower size series on a nice round plant shape and fits perfectly for early season (September to November). It is also easy to grow.”
Indiaka® - “The reference for two-tone cyclamen”
“The novelty in Indiaka refers to the light rose color, a cheerful new tone in the Indiaka range. The dark green foliage offers a good contrast to the flowers. Indiaka now has five colors: Salmon, Rose, Light rose, Bright Purple, and Magenta. A mix of these cultivars is also available, made up of different percentages of each one.”
Indiaka – new color in the pipeline
The first Indiaka came up to the European market in 2018, and the demand rapidly increased for this new type. “We are happy that it has set a new trend on the market, and thanks to our rich gene pool, Indiaka has inherited of the strong genetics of Morel varieties: A robust plant, a very round and solid shape, and showing very bright colors with a unique contrast to the white base of the petal.” Having proved its performances in the North as well as in the Southern climates, they are now developing a 6th color. “It is a color that is eagerly awaited by the market, namely Indiaka Red.” And Indiaka even has its own website, namely www.indiaka.eu and Instagram (indiaka_cyclamen)
In Tianis®, Midi flower size, five new colors in the range
Four new shades of pink and one pure white complete the Tianis® series. Tianis® Pure white evolution came up with more leaves and more volume than 3120 Pure white, the breeding company says. “The five colors show a quick and uniform growth within and between the colors (culture time from sowing: 27 to 29 weeks).”
Amongst the pinks, Rose with eye, Light rose with purple eye, and Neon fuchsia flame are performing really well outside, the breeding company continues. “They have been labeled ‘Outstanding cyclamen®,’ our label for a selection of varieties most suited to outdoor conditions. These three colors of pinkish tones will brighten up gardens, balconies, and terraces with their feminine and delicate tones.”
A complete New Fringed Mini Series: Crispino® Mini
“The novelty Mini Crispino refers to the mixture of a new fringed mini range (9 – 12 cm pot) within the Métis® series. It stands out for its exceptional floweriness. Crispino Mini stands for high-performing fringed mini, with strongly fringed petals and industrial uniformity within the series. A mix of 9 very bright colors, including a luminous red, composes this mix. Also, the Latinia® series includes a Crispino® category, an early variety with large and distinctive fringed flowers adapted to 12 and 15-cm pots.”
Two new white in Mini’s
Morel has also introduced two new white cultivars in the mini-series: Smartiz Pure White Evolution and Metis White Chantilly (Métis). “Metis® White Chantilly is a very round plant well-centered with abundant flowering. It grows fast and has optimal performance in Autumn (growing time: 28-29 weeks) in a pot size of 9 to 12 cm. To fit in a smaller pot (6-10.5 cm) and for the very early season (from August), the novelty Smartiz Pure white evolution is a very round and compact plant. It has a very attractive contrast between flowers and foliage. Its early flowering is perfectly synchronized with the other colors of the range!”
Tuxedo® - “Chic & Stylish”
“Tuxedo fits into the “Very Special” group. It stands out for its deep, dark magenta color and very decorative foliage. This cultivar is part of the Smartiz series, so it can be grown in a 6 – 10.5 cm pot. It radiates an image of elegance and style. Excellent choice for florists, a gift plant to use as an added value to the grower’s offer. Tuxedo will also enhance winter decorations with a festive and elegant flair.”
