Dümmen Orange team describes new Cosmo Compact pot chrysanthemum

"Elegant and with characteristics such as more sustainable cultivation and versatile in use, this is a fantastic team player in our wide chrysanthemum product range that's also perfect for creating colorful mixes," the Dümmen Orange team says to introduce their new chrysanthemum.

Versatile, large-flowered beauty
Before it reveals its potential at the POS, the new pot chrysanthemum series has already boasted benefits galore during cultivation. "Because – as the name suggests – Cosmo Compact is bred for compactness. Thanks to its naturally low growth habit, cultivation requires less PGRs, making this eye-catching, large-flowered beauty a more sustainable and profitable crop and an asset to the product range. Growers can easily combine the varieties in a mix or sell them as a single color per pot. What's more, the series is suitable for a wide range of container sizes and can even be grown in tiny 7 cm pots."

Four stunning colors
They come in four colors: Cosmo Compact Bronze in bronze-red, Cosmo Compact Purple with pale purple flowers, the white Cosmo Compact White, and Cosmo Compact Yellow, whose bright yellow flowers contrast beautifully with its dark green foliage. All four varieties are easy to combine - even in one pot - as they are all highly homogeneous in growth, habit, and earliness.

Uniform disbud series
Cosmo Compact is a highly uniform disbud series and needs less disbudding compared to similar chrysanthemums. That saves money, too. The new series of decorative chrysanthemums has a response time of 6½ weeks and is easy to grow. And Cosmo Compact leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to using it in your own product range as it can be produced all year round.
