In 2017, PostNL launched the Flora@Home initiative, a service allowing online retailers to sell flowers and plants online, with PostNL responsible for logistics and sourcing from nurseries and shipping the parcels. In recent years, online retailers in almost all of Europe have benefited from this service, and hundreds of thousands of bouquets, plants, and accessories have found their way to consumers in Europe.

Now, it is time to announce the next step in the development of Flora@Home. Soon, Flora@Home will continue independently, and ownership will be transferred to Kwekerij Mostert, based in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel.
Kwekerij Mostert has existed since the early 1960s and specializes in growing various special indoor plants. In addition, it has focused strongly on e-commerce in recent years. The e-commerce branch of this family business sends hundreds of thousands of parcels of house and garden plants for several webshops every year.
Within this group, Flora@Home will be the company offering e-fulfillment to affiliated webshops, retailers, and marketplaces.
Currently, Flora@Home's logistics operation is located in Aalsmeer, but it will be integrated into the e-fulfillment center in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel. This center will combine the expertise of Kwekerij Mostert and Flora@Home. The entire Flora@Home team will also become part of the new e-commerce company.
With this step, Flora@Home, in cooperation with Kwekerij Mostert, will become the ideal e-commerce partner for entrepreneurs thriving online in the flower and plant market.
