Sandra Bechtholt new Keukenhof director

The board of the Stichting Graaf Carel van Lynden is appointing Sandra Bechtholt as Keukenhof's general director from October 1. Sandra is currently the director of the museum 'Huis van het boek' in The Hague.

Sandra Bechtholt has worked in various marketing and communication positions in the heritage sector since 2003. She started her career at the Rembrandthuis and went on to work at the Spoorwegmuseum in Utrecht as head of Marketing and Communications. At the 'Huis van het boek,' she was responsible for the repositioning of the museum, the renewed exhibition policy, and the redesign of the internal organization. Since 2021, she has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Stichting Werelderfgoed Kinderdijk. She is also an advisor for the Mondriaan Fund's Programme Art Stages 2022 & 2023 and chairs the Stichting Museumnacht The Hague.

Sandra Bechtholt will form Keukenhof's management board together with the director of operations. Sandra will be appointed general director. The recruitment of the second director started recently.
