On Friday, September 29, 2023, the final version of the FloriPEFCR was submitted to the European Commission. The FloriPEFCR allows people in Europe to calculate, compare, and monitor the environmental impact of a cut flower or pot plant according to a standard independent calculation method. The initiators, a broad coalition within floriculture, hope that the European Commission will endorse the FloriPEFCR by the end of this year and then publish it on the European Commission's website.
