JK Plant in Honselersdijk, the Netherlands, is once again investing in an ErfGoedFloor. Last year, half the nursery was already equipped with the ErfGoedFloor Premium with underfloor heating, and because of the positive experiences, the other part of the nursery is now also being fitted with this cultivation floor. Co-owner Jelle Kuijvenhoven is especially enthusiastic about the efficient logistics. In addition, wastage seems to be lower.

JK Plant has focused on growing exclusive indoor and garden plants for over 12 years. These are marketed under the Air So Pure label, referring to the fact that the plants purify the air in the house and contribute to a healthy living environment.
Last year, entrepreneur Jelle Kuijvenhoven had the desire to grow more plants in the same area in order to serve customers well and on time. "An efficient layout of the logistics was crucial in this respect, as it is difficult to find enough staff. After looking at various options, the choice finally fell on an ErfGoedFloor," he says.
Confidence in ErfGoed
This decision was partly driven by the fact that an ErfGoedFloor is sturdy enough to allow forklift trucks to drive over it. "And that helps us work more efficiently. At the same time, you can also grow well on this floor and therefore, deliver good quality. And that is crucial for us and for the image of our company. Besides, we had confidence in ErfGoed, so the choice of the ErfGoedFloor was, in fact, only logical."
Positive practical experiences
The floor also lives up to expectations in practice, Kuijvenhoven points out. "No marks are left behind when we drive over it with the forklift truck. And the failure rate also seems to be lower, although we can't quite substantiate this at the moment."
The entrepreneur can recommend colleagues to invest in an ErfGoedFloor . "It's for a good reason we are now purchasing a second ErfGoedFloor. Beforehand, however, think carefully about what you - and especially your plants! - need and where the challenges lie. These are determining factors when making a choice."
