Amigo Plant introduces the Aloe Medivera, an exclusive variant of the traditional Aloe Vera, with better properties adapted for both domestic and commercial conditions.
Origin
Amigo Plant grew Aloe Vera itself in the past but was dissatisfied with aspects such as the plant's tendency to develop spots quickly, unstable growth, and lack of a full pot. This led to the decision to stop growing Aloe Vera traditionally and incorporate it into its own breeding program. After an extensive process that began in 2016, the first prototype of the current finished product came to fruition in 2019.
The Result: Aloe Medivera versus Standard Aloe Vera
- Shape and Stability: Whereas standard Aloe Vera can be elongated and wobbly, MediVera stands firm and compact.
- Transport: The compactness of Medivera offers better economic loading, which offers advantages in transport efficiency.
- Diversity: While traditional Aloe Vera is only available in one version, the Medivera offers diversity with variants such as Equator (green), Tropical (fur), and Meridian (light).
- Light requirements: Unlike traditional Aloe Vera, which thrives best in areas with high light and sun, Medivera easily adapts to light conditions in Western Europe.
- Packaging: Standard Aloe Vera is usually offered in a simple plastic sleeve. The Medivera comes in a luxurious, sturdy paper sleeve that offers the plant extra protection.

The exclusive Aloe Medivera is available in limited quantities from this week at Waterdrinker in Aalsmeer and MEERgroothandel in Honselersdijk.
