Tomato greenhouse converted for Kalanchoes

KP Holland will supply the first Kalanchoes in November from a greenhouse that used to contain tomatoes. The greenhouse at Kanaalweg in De Lier has been converted and set up based on the principles of Het Nieuwe Telen (The New Cultivation).

The Green Label greenhouse for pot plants (besides Kalanchoe, also Curcuma) has been given other new cultivation floors, dimmable LED lighting, smart double screens, and a sustainable air treatment system with dehumidification. Like the existing locations, this greenhouse is also connected to sustainable geothermal heat from Trias, and growers reuse water.
