Transition arrangements for the returnable deposit on Fc519 flower boxes and introduction of Fc520 boxes

Each year, Royal FloraHolland maintains the size of the packaging unit pool by purchasing new boxes and then introducing them into the product cycle. Despite the sharp rise in raw material and production costs for multi-use boxes in recent years, the deposit amount for the Fc519 has remained the same for over 20 years now.

This will have to change, however, in order for Royal FloraHolland to continue to meet the required standards, which is why the returnable deposit will be increasing from € 3 to € 5 per box from Monday, 15 January 2024. In addition to this increase of the returnable deposit, the transition will also see the introduction of a new box design next spring. A transition project (omstikkeractie) for the move from Fc519 to Fc520 boxes will be implemented to ensure that the transition to a higher deposit amount goes smoothly.
