Over 600 exhibitors, the vast majority of whom were members of Royal FloraHolland, had brought the gems from their own nurseries to Aalsmeer last week to bring them to the attention of the trade again. And although dark clouds hung over the sector, there was a positive atmosphere at the fair.

As usual, a lot of things happen simultaneously during the week. Numerous growers and suppliers organize an open house parallel to the fair, presentations are given, awards were handed out, and, finally, it is teeming with 'scoops' of new varieties, products available in larger and smaller pot sizes, with new labels and pots and ceramics, in new combinations, etc.
