Agrivaldani's flourishing path in the floral industry

The Lobato Jarrín family has been in the flower industry for more than 30 years. In 2019, they changed brands from Florpaxi to Agrivaldani and the sisters Lobato took over the business. Under their [EV1] stewardship, the farm [EV2] has undergone a transformative journey, marked by expanded farm operations, a diversified product range, and a foray into the tinted flower business, establishing ‘Agrivaldani Art Studio’. This decision has proven to be successful one as they have doubled the size of their Art Studio over the past two years.

Rebranding
But why the decision to rebrand the name of the company? Daniela Lobato: “We, as sisters have been involved in the business for these past years. During the pandemic, we all ended up coming back to Ecuador and this is when we all started to get 100% involved in the business. We decided that our company needed a more fun and youthful touch. This is why we rebranded it to Agrivaldani, a name that is very special to us at it comes from Agriculture and includes our names Valeria, Alejandra and Daniela. So, it represents who we are and who our collaborators are too. We are a very energetic and youthful team.”

The farm
The farm is located in Tabacundo, Ecuador, 65 km north of Quito, where they grow 80 types of standard roses, garden roses, spray roses, Limonium, Craspedia and Eryngium. The flowers are currently grown on 18 ha.

Tinted flowers
Besides growing flowers, the farm is also home to Agrivaldani Art Studio, where they produce tinted and crafted flowers. “About three years ago, we started to perfect our processes and started to think outside the box with our designs. We created the Agrivaldani Art Studio as a place where all our team can express themselves through floral art and give our clients a wide variety of options to pick from. On top of that, we also offer personalized designs. Our main goal at the Agrivaldani Art Studio is to make art with our products in the most natural way possible.”

Increasing demand for tinted flowers
According to Lobato Jarrín, the demand for their tinted products increased over the last years. “The market has become more open to the idea of painting roses and other flowers.” And this is reflected in the size of the Art Studio, which has doubled over the past two years. “We had to expand and grow our team to satisfy our clients’ needs.” Currently, their tinted and crafted products go to many places all over the world, mainly to the USA, Canada, Spain, Poland, The Netherlands, China, Vietnam, and Philippines.

Future Plans
The Lobato Jarrín sisters are very pleased that they were able to expand their business over the past three years. “On top of the tinted and crafted products, we also added summer flowers and spray roses to our product catalogs. And we are eagerly looking forward to continuing our growth and improving our business.”
