WPK getting acquired by three owners

Agro Care Participaties B.V., Combivliet Participaties B.V., and E & E van der Arend Holding B.V. intend to jointly acquire control over W.P.K. Beheer B.V. This is evident from a document published by the Authority for Consumers & Market.

At the moment, E & E van der Arend Holding is the owner of WPK. The nursery company has four locations in Westland and Made. WPK supplies tomato, pepper, and cucumber plants to professional customers active in the greenhouse horticulture sector. In addition, WPK also grows pot plants for sale in garden centers, hardware stores, retail, and retail trade.

Van der Arend is also the sole shareholder in Plantfactory Holding B.V., Plantfactory Pack B.V., and Plantfactory RCA B.V. The activities of these entities (providing cultivation advice to WPK) will cease at the end of 2023.
