The month of Mother's Day

May is the month of Mother's Day. In 2023, it was celebrated in many countries on May 14. In the US, hopes were high with increases in ocean and airfreight shipments, but during Mother's Day, it became clear that the unbridled optimism for this day was tempered by reality. When looking at Europe, there were a lot of buyers buying on the Royal FloraHolland auction clock, and Veiling Rhein-Maas also reported a successful Mother's Day.

Of course, more happened this month; Royal Flowers merged with the Elite Group, Gems Group, and World Class Flowers became one, Biobest signed a letter to acquire BioWorks, and Decowraps Europe acquired the packaging business of Holimco France.
